Happy 30th Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

I love how much my parents love eachother.

This pic is from Rachel and Benjamins wedding. My mom had finished chemo and radiation and her hair was finally starting to grow out. My dad was a wonderful example of how a man should love a woman when she was going through the cancer treatments. My mom is so strong and always had a positive attitude. I am very grateful that my parents are sealed in the temple and that they are such great examples to us.

Oh the memories when we used to think that my dad was so silly but he has always been proud of his children.

My mom has always been there for me through EVERYTHING!! I couldn't be more blessed!

Christmas Decorations

Okay, so it's been a really long time since I posted. Nothing great has really happened. But I'll do a couple posts now. First things first.

I LOVE Christmas and the lights. So here are a few pics of our home all lit up.

I know there is a dark place on the one side of the house but for some reason who ever did the bushes didn't plant one more on that side. There is a little tree there but my lights for it burnt out and I haven't had the chance to get some more.

Here is our beautiful REAL tree!! I don't like fake ones. I suck it up and save a little to be able to get a real one. They usually cost $60-$80. But I love real trees!

Happy Birthday Kimberly!!!

Today is my sister-in-law Kimberly's birthday. I just want to do a little post in honor of her.

She is so sweet and loving!!! She is always there for anyone no matter what she's going through on her own. Here are a few pics.

I know in this one Addison looks like she is going to poke herself in the eye with the fork but she was eating cake.

Catching up

Okay so it's been a while since I posted. Things have been crazy. Brian and I went to the Carolina game on Sat...which was way fun, it always is. Then on sunday this nasty fever blister started to show up on my lip. Well for those of you that know me know this but last year in October I got this really bad migrane. Then my eye started twitching and my cheek felt kinda numb. So I went to the urgent care. The Dr gave me a shot of demerol and said that it was just the migrane giving me those symptoms. Told me to call the DR on monday if they were still there. So it was worse on Monday. My eye wouldn't close all the way when I blinked and when I would smile the left side of my face wouldn't move. Yes my first thought was stroke...at 24???? So I went back to the Dr. He sent me for a CT scan later that afternoon and when it was done and they saw that I had a brain that was normal they called the dr. I went back again the next day for him to try to figure out what it was. Well the next morning the symptons were worse. I had Bell's Palsy, which is temporary paralysis of the face. It lasted about 6 weeks and is caused from the same this as a fever blister. So when my fever blister showed up on Sunday I made sure to go and see the dr on Monday to start medication. So it looks like we caught it and it's healing with no signs of the Bell's Palsy again.
Then On Tuesday I can into work and our Human Resources people were here from NC. They let a lady go that had been here 11 years. They are doing cutbacks because of the way that the economy is going. Please pray for me that I might keep my job!!! It's really scary.
So that's kinda where I've been this past week :)

My Non-Important Things...Habits...Quirks...

Okay Mary Beth I'm finally doing it.

#1-I hate for there to be toothpaste left in the sink. I'm not sure why but the thought of all those germs dried onto the sink just makes me gag.

#2- I hate for the yard to look shaggy. Brian says that I'm anal but I will cut the grass once a week when it's growing well.

#3- I hate mornings...unless I get up at like 10. I hit the snooze button probably 3 or 4 times in the morning. I wish I could just get myself out of bed and hop in the shower but I just can't find the push to do it.

#4- I hate it when people litter. I can not in anyway claim to be saving the planet because I don't recycle and do all that stuff but it really bugs me when I see someone throw something out their window...even if it is just a cigarette butt. It makes me just want to honk my horn at them and ask they why they can't use their ash tray.

#5 - I am very organized at work...at home kinda but I know just where everything is at work.

#6- I prefer texting to talking on the phone. Since I got my blackberry that's pretty much the way that Brian and I talk through out the day. It's almost gotten excessive. Last month I used 1300 text messages...it's a good thing I have unlimited.

#7- I hate to stay alone. I can tough it out for a little while but for long periods of time I have this stupid fear of being in a place by myself.

#8- I hate it when people hold my feet down. You remember in Elem school when you would hold your friends feet down while they did sit ups? Yeah I was one of those people who would do as many as fast as I could so that I could get my feet free. It's like I can't "get away" if I needed to.

Trip to the zoo

My mom...who wins everything won a bunch of free tickets to the zoo off the radio. So we got some of our family together and went. It was lots of fun. Here are some pics.

A couple of months ago my mom, Allison and I went to a Survivor banquet in Lexington. They publish a magazine and look who was in it!!! It's called Lexington Womens!! I think this pic is sooo cute!!!

A little humor for the day

Mirror, Mirror. . . .

Shrek, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were all having lunchtogether.

Shrek said, "I've always thought that I'm the strongest man in The world, but how can I be sure?"
Angelina Jolie added, "I'm told I'm the most gorgeous of them all,But sometimes I wonder."
Brad Pitt said, "I'm pretty sure I'm the hottest man alive but I've never had it confirmed."

They all decided that the best way to find out if their beliefs were true was to ask the famed "mirror, mirror on the wall' to confirm for them whether Shrek was the strongest, Angelina Jolie was the most Gorgeous and Brad Pitt was the hottest.

They agreed to meet again the next day for lunch to discuss their findings.
The next day Shrek strutted to the table and said, "Well, it's true. TheMirror told me that I am the strongest man in the world."
Brad Pitt said with a smile, "And I know now for sure that I'm theHottest man alive."
Angelina Jolie lifted her sad, gorgeous face and as a single tear ran down her Cheek she said.......


"Who the heck is Jessica Freeman ?"

Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins last night. It was fun to just sit on the kitchen floor together and have time to talk with no other interuptions. I always do an easy design but Brian of course loves the challenge.

I just love holidays!!! I can't wait for Christmas, to decorate the tree and put lights on the house :) Fun fun!!!

Baby Trey

This weekend we went to a b-day party for Brian's niece. His nephew just got out of the hospital earlier this week after being in for 16 days straight. They are saying that he had a "virus" which in Dr. terms it means we're not sure what he has. Anyway, this pic was taken Sat and I'm glad that he looks like he's doing better!!
